Eight incidence happened after the formation of American Sikh Congressional Caucus

North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) took a very serious note of growing attack on Sikh community members. Expressing concerns of these attacks NAPA Chairman Mr Dalwinder Singh Dhoot and  Executive Director Satnam Singh Chahal said that this is also very unfortunate that after the formation of American Sikh Congressional Caucus under the leadership of Rep. Judy Chu (California District -27) attacks on Sikhs are increasing day by day causing fear and insecurity among the Sikh Community in United States. Giving the detail information of a recent attack on Sikh family in Manteca City of California NAPA leader said that On September 7, 2013 at approximately 04:37 a.m., Manteca Police Officers responded to the 400 block of Victory Avenue in regards to a shooting at the residence. Upon arrival, Officers located an adult male and adult female in the residence who sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to area hospitals. Preliminary investigation revealed that a male suspect forced entry into the residence and shot both victims. The suspect was already gone from the scene. He was described as a Black or Hispanic male, 25-27 years old, medium build, with dark hair pulled back in a ponytail and wearing dark clothing. The Manteca Police Department is actively investigating this incident and wants the public to know that this does not appear to be a random shooting. Additional information will be disseminated as it becomes available and does not compromise the investigation.
